The Kind of Influence That Changes Everything

A few days ago, I had a conversation that reminded me why this work matters so much. A highly respected elder minister—someone with decades of experience in ministry—recently had an opportunity to invest the wisdom he has gained over a lifetime. A district leader, himself a Sage-ager introduced this minister to an exhausted church planter who was quietly preparing to walk away from the work God had called him to do. No one around the planter could see it yet. The retired minister and his wife spent an entire weekend with him—from Friday through Sunday. They didn't come to lecture or preach. He simply showed up. He listened. They talked. He listened some more. He shared memories of his own difficult seasons and what it felt like to stand at similar crossroads. By the end of the weekend, something had changed. Today, that church planter is still leading his church. That is the kind of ministry the Sages Silver Circle will make possible.
